About Me

Caitlin got her start in journalism at The Independent Florida Alligator while she attended The University of Florida. There, she covered everything from cops, student government and national politics, before developing an interest in data journalism, a subset of journalism for math and programming lovers.

She interned at the Miami Herald, CNN, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune and The Wall Street Journal. Before coming to the Journal, she was a data reporter on the investigations team at the Miami Herald. At The Journal, she's covered European financial markets in the London bureau and cryptocurrencies, before moving to the data journalism team.

She can coach on networking, maintaining relationships with others in the industry, finding internships, reporting abroad and relocating two cats from Miami to England.
