About Me

Josh Hinkle is KXAN’s director of investigations and innovation, leading the Austin-based station’s duPont and IRE Award-winning investigative team on multiple platforms. He also leads KXAN’s political coverage as executive producer and host of “State of Texas,” a weekly statewide program focused on the Texas Legislature and elections. In 2021, he was elected to the IRE Board of Directors and currently serves as its vice president. He also sits on the Board of Governors for the Lone Star Emmy Chapter.
