The mentors below have volunteered to offer free, half-hour one-on-one sessions for advice, guidance or general questions about navigating the media industry. Be sure to read our FAQs about the program ahead of booking a call.

Michael can coach others who have aspirations of working in the radio / audio industry in a variety of roles, such as News / Sports Anchor, Producer, Writer, Web Reporter and editing audio.
Tory can coach on life after a layoff, how to overcome burnout, how to enter the world of data journalism, and resumes/portfolios. She can also help with figurng out how to balance multiple commitments at once, like going back to school while working full time or having side gigs, without burning out.
Jessica can mentor on freelance/independent journalism careers, communications strategy, how to have a career that honors the stories that you want to tell, relationship building with editors and publications, how to be an ethical journalist while prioritizing narratives/stories that make the world a better place, and how to have a dual career in journalism and comms.
Aaricka can coach on local reporting, beat reporting, navigating being a woman of color in the newsroom, time management, managing burnout, early career, navigating grad school, job application/interviewing process, team projects.
