Matt can coach and mentor on being a positive and effecitve manager, editing and organizing investigative projects, public records, preventing burnout, data journalism, and maintaining work-life balance.
David, an expert in freedom of information, can provide strategies and tips for overcoming denials, coming up with record-based story ideas and elevating your reporting through public records.
Marina can coach on getting into journalism if you didn’t have a j-school/program; covering breaking news, politics, and culture/entertainment; managing irregular work shifts; navigating how to switch beats; and advocating for yourself early in your career.
Goodness can coach aspiring journalists on investigative reporting, multimedia storytelling, and digital skills. I guide them in crafting compelling stories, mastering data journalism, and leveraging emerging technologies to enhance their reporting. My mentorship also covers ethical journalism practices and strategies for building a successful career in the media industry.
Michael can coach others who have aspirations of working in the radio / audio industry in a variety of roles, such as News / Sports Anchor, Producer, Writer, Web Reporter and editing audio.
Karina can coach on navigating internships, finding the big picture in local stories and fighting imposter syndrome.
Jeremy can coach on bridging engineering and newsrooms, product / engineering interactions, managing technical teams, interactives / graphics / news applications, and data journalism.
